POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

This position is responsible for the growth and profitability of a specific region by providing the business development, bid development, leadership, and management of the activities for that region. The General Manager will achieve company objectives while adhering to Company core values, budgets, policies, procedures and maintaining high customer and employee satisfaction. Interaction and coordination with the Chief Operating Officer, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Division Vice Presidents, and company executives is required to ascertain regional goals.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business Development/Customer Relations

o Achieve the annually assigned orders plan for the specific Region with primary emphasis in System Integration and Customer Support Services in that region;

o Develop and maintain relationships with customers, vendors and channel partners that create qualified opportunities with new customers;

o Develop new opportunities regularly and maintain them thoroughly in the company CRM system;

o Forecast orders using the company’s sales process and CRM.

  • Demonstrate the Company’s core values through work activities, personnel evaluation and decision making.

o Serve as an example and hold fellow employees accountable for meeting the standards of the company’s core values – Humble, Driven, Conscientious;

o Provide constructive feedback and direction through annual performance evaluations for Engineering Group Managers, Project Managers, and other direct reports;

o Advocate for the training and evaluation for technical staff through members of the Regional Management Team.

  • Ensure regional growth, profitability and revenue objectives are met.

o Monitor progress of projects and ensure expectation of quality, budgets and schedules are met;

o Develop a culture of accountability for ownership of projects based on metrics at all levels;

o Work with Project Managers and Engineering Group Managers to manage balancing of staff and project loading;

o Lead in the recruiting and organizing of staff to accomplish goals;

o Look for new technologies, methods, and procedures that will make Revere more competitive;

o Support and assist in the development of overall marketing, sales, and execution plans to grow the region;

o In coordination with the Chief Operating Officer, Division Vice President and Vice President of Sales and Marketing, develop the strategy for business development based on regional information, capabilities, and work with the Regional Business Development personnel to pursue opportunities in alignment with the strategy;

o Emphasize and enforce compliance for safe work environments and procedures.

  • Develop/maintain/grow personnel.

o Recruit/hire according to Revere standards;

o Develop Project Managers and Engineering Group Manager;

o Provide technical support and continuous training/mentoring for electrical and Company standards.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of Business Development, engineering, construction, design, finance, marketing, and management of personnel with a focus on project implementation for System Integration, Automation and Controls.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Technical Sales, Project Management and/or Engineering in the Industrial and/or Municipal Water/Wastewater markets.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet.
  • Customer Visits, Field visits and frequent travel will be required and may include loud noise, varied temperatures, and varied levels of cleanliness.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

This is a full-time position, and business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Longer hours and evenings might be necessary.
