Purpose: Language development coaches are responsible for guiding the implementation of the English Learner Education and World Language programs and curriculum, and providing direct pedagogical instruction, professional development, and support to administrators and teachers I. Primary Tasks, Duties, & ResponsibilitiesWork with ESL, SEI, World Language, and content teachers to ensure quality of curriculum, materials, supports, and access for multilingual learners.Work in classrooms: Co-teaching, modeling lessons, observing etc.Work with teachers to plan and debrief lessonsSupport BBST process, monitoring, and follow up for MLLsSupport ELSP and monitoring process and follow up for FEL and opt-out studentsWork with Director/Assistant Director and both high schools to establish consistency in curriculum and program design and to support each school in their unique needsAttend regular coach meetings with Director/Assistant DirectorMeet with building administration regularlyProvide professional development at principal and director meetingsProvide support and resources requested by teachers Collaborate with other literacy and math coaches and C2Cs to support multilingual learners in all content areasData Analysis (building and district level)K. Secondary Tasks, Duties, & ResponsibilitiesSupport teachers in implementation of a variety of district and school based resourcesSupport teachers with the implementation of a variety of assessmentsFacilitate/attend PLG time with teachersPreparation for work with teachersAttend coach professional developmentSupport Director/Assistant Director and schools with ACCESS administration and other compliance tasksWork to implement the Seal of Biliteracy alongside the Director/Assistant DirectorTertiary Tasks, Duties & ResponsibilitiesUtilize school-level forums to promote and maintain a schoolwide focus on best instructional practices for multilingual learners.School improvement council/leadership teamsSupport family engagement opportunities for multilingual families at the secondary level in partnership with family liaisons
