What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Training position at Revlon?
Basic Function:
Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs across the Oxford plant. Coordinates with various departments, vendors, regulatory agencies, and others to ensure that the company is current and in line with regulations and best practices. Acts as a liaison and adviser between senior management and all levels of the company.
Major Duties:
• Identify and assess the training needs of the organization through job analysis, career paths and consultation with leadership.
• Build and maintain skills training matrix.
• Support efforts related to the cross-training initiative.
• Develop in-house trainers and training standards to insure consistent training across all departments and shifts.
• Continue to build and update content as needed for the video-based learning tool.
• Assess employee skills, performance, and productivity to identify areas of improvement.
• Maintain, develop, and update training videos, classroom materials and manuals.
• Use internal technology platform designed for training.
• Track and record all in-person training.
• Work with internal customers for updated training and materials.
• Drive brand values and philosophy through all training and development activities.
• Evaluate organizational performance to ensure that training meets business needs and improves performance.
• Communicate with management and team members to ensure all training needs are met.
• Create training plans and strategies utilizing various methods and technology.
• Collaborate with executives and senior managers to identify best practices for standardized operating procedures (SOP’s).
• Oversee the development of new SOP’s as needed.
• Assist in training and developing new front line team leaders, supervisors and managers on operational procedures.
• Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure legal compliance with all training programs.
• Perform other responsibilities as requested.
• Oversee onsite training for onboarding of new employees.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Experience in training and development; management preferred.
- Experience/Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices and process improvements
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.
- Familiarity with modern and traditional training methods.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
- Attention to detail and highly organized.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Commitment to ethical behavior and willingness to adhere to company policies.
Minimum Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School Diploma required
- Minimum Years Experience Required: 5
