The position of Mechatronic Specialist will be based out of our Tampa, FL Location!
Summary
The Automation Specialist position is responsible for growing sales of specialized products to all customers, to increase profitable sales through creating, building, and maintaining high-quality customer and vendor relationships. This is a critical position for Rexel as we continue to evolve and move towards the latest Automation Solutions and Products. The Mechatronic Specialist will be a liaison between Rockwell Automation and Rexel, acting as a trusted partner to the business units, and serving as a domain expert for our customers. Expected to help build out an eco-system of mechatronic partners (suppliers, vendors, services) to support and complement full enterprise solutions as we move towards Robotics, Smart analytics, and AI solutions.
What You'll Do
- Demonstrates commercial and technical acumen related to assigned technology segment(s). Subject Matter Expert of assigned technology segment(s).
- Leads and supports sales efforts with key targets, key customers and key opportunities in area/region
- Identifies customer needs, proposes solutions and closes orders
- Presents proposals to all levels of leadership and technical audiences
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with key suppliers
- Participates in product meetings, seminars and training schools to enhance and maintain personal and product knowledge
- Assist branches and customer with product, technical support and training
- May analyze market potential, develop an annual business plan based on market conditions and lead execution with local technical, sales and management team
- Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 4 years’ experience
- Product and application knowledge required
- Electrical distribution industry or related experience required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Outcome-based selling experience with an understanding of business drivers
- Able to motivate and support outside sales reps to proactively implement business plans
- Rockwell FTStudio hands-on experience with programming plcs, hmi, and motion products (servos).
- Experience in Emulate 3D, Kinetix, PowerFlex Motion, Independent Cart Technology, Linear Motion and Robotics. Ability to present to customers.
