Seasonal Grounds Maintenance

Rexing Companies is a family-owned and logistics company, based in Evansville, Indiana. Due to our continued growth, we are searching for the right person to join our team as a part-time, seasonal Groundskeeper. Our ideal candidate will enjoy spending time outdoors and is looking for a few extra hours a week to enjoy the outdoors and help us keep up with our beautiful property.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Perform groundskeeping duties.

· Mow lawn using hand, power, or riding lawnmower.

· Trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls using hedge trimmers, clippers, and edging tools.

· Request various supplies needed to maintain the facility.

· Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes.

· Water plants and grass as needed

· Perform weed and brush control.

· Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed.

· Prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth using shears and other hand tools.

· Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger

· Pick up and load rubbish debris, and trash into trucks to dispose of properly.

· Sweep walkway of debris

· Pressure wash sidewalks, curbs, and pathways.

· Perform routine maintenance duties

· Pick up and dispose of garbage in the facility.

· Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keeping.

· Effectively operate various types of equipment following proper training protocol.

· Other tasks as assigned.

· Record and report daily work completed.

· This position is Seasonal which is April-Late November. Work a diverse daytime, night, weekend, and holiday schedule.

Required Qualifications:

· 6 months experience in grounds maintenance is preferred

· Ability to operate a tractor and/or mower, weed eaters, chain saws, pressure washer, and brush cutters.

· Ability to work both independently

· Able to perform physically demanding tasks outside in the weather and on a variety of terrain. Weather conditions may include rain, cold, and/or heat. as well as on a landscaping job site. Work terrain may include steep inclines and uneven ground surfaces.

· Must possess a valid state driver’s license with the ability to be insured.

· Must be able to pass a background check

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour

Experience:

• Zero turn mower: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
