Job Title: Nurse Anesthetic (Registered Nurse)

Duration: Short term (13 weeks) long term (1 year)

Location: Shiprock, NM 87420 USA

Working Hours - Day Shift Monday through Friday 0700-1530 on non-holidays. Paid at the regular hourly rate. Overtime will be worked on an “as needed basis”, Any hours worked over the normal scheduled time will be paid at the regular hourly rate. On Call (carrying the pager): weeknight hours 1530-0700 the next morning; weekend hours Friday 1530- 0700 Saturday; Saturday 0700-0700 Sunday; Sunday 0700-0700 Monday; Holidays 0700-0700 the following day. All on-call hours are paid at the same On-call rate.

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Nurse Anesthetist to join our healthcare team. The Nurse Anesthetist will be responsible for administering anesthesia and monitoring patients before, during, and after surgical or medical procedures. This position requires strong clinical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical or medical procedures, ensuring safe and appropriate levels of sedation.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures to ensure anesthesia levels are maintained and adjusted as necessary.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Assess patients' medical histories, allergies, and physical conditions to determine appropriate anesthesia options.
• Educate patients and families on anesthesia procedures, risks, and post-operative care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of anesthesia administration and patient progress.
• Respond to emergencies and provide necessary interventions to ensure patient safety.

Qualification Requirements:

• Experience:
• Minimum of 52 weeks of experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
• License/Registration:
• Current, valid, and unrestricted Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Anesthetist) license in any state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
• Valid state motor vehicle operator's license if required for the position.
• Certifications:
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certifications.
• Health Requirements/Conditions of Employment:
• Fitness for duty certificate issued by a licensed physician.
• Documentation of immunizations including Rubella, Mumps, Measles, Hepatitis B series, Varicella (chickenpox), Tetanus Diphtheria (Td), TB Mantoux skin test (PPD), and annual flu vaccination.
• Vaccination against SARS-COV-2 (COVID-19).
• Language Requirements and Cultural Awareness:
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues.
• Respectful awareness and consideration of local, American Indian, and Alaska Native cultures.
• Information Technology Skills:
• Basic computer knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Orientation:
• Attendance at mandatory orientations and training sessions specified by the government.

• Master's degree in Nursing or related field.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $41.00 - $49.38 per hour
