Position Summary:
The primary focus of the Business Unit HRIS Analyst (BUA) position is to provide support and maintenance of the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) systems within the Business Unit. This position is the technical point of contact and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing, analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities, and system configuration.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Production Support
- Provide support for HRIS including, but not limited to, researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results, or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements
- Act as a “troubleshooter” for and with HR, Payroll, HRIS and IT departments
- System Maintenance/Configuration
- Assist in the review, testing, and implementation of HRIS system upgrades or patches, while collaborating and coordinating with functional and technical staff
- Ensure security of HR and Payroll information through established security protocols
- Process Improvement/Projects
- Recommend best practices including process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes, and initiatives to automate and streamline system analysis, data integration, and reporting capabilities
- Leverage project management skills in leading projects and acquisitions
- Reports/Queries
- Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs
- Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data
- Training/Documentation
- Act as Point of Contact for assigned support/system areas
- Develop user procedures, guidelines, and documentation
- Train system users and cross-train HRIS team members on processes and functionality
- Keep current with HRIS trends while continuously increasing both HR and HRIS knowledge
- Other projects or duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, human resources, or related field and minimum 3 years’ experience in any combination of the following areas: HRIS (system configuration, enhancements, testing), report writing, querying, data analysis, and training; OR High School Diploma and minimum 6 years’ experience in HRIS (system configuration, enhancements, testing) in addition to some experience in at least two of the following: report writing, querying, data analysis, and training
- Knowledge of HR and Payroll processes and terminology
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Must possess exceptional organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize multiple projects, ensuring accurate work is delivered by specified deadlines
- Effective critical thinking with the ability to review numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings
- Ability to handle sensitive information/data while maintaining confidentiality
- Meticulous attention to detail; vigilant in data analysis to arrive at correct conclusions
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment, think systematically, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Effective communication skills with ability to present findings or translate the data into an understandable document; must be able to write and speak clearly, easily communicating complex ideas across all levels of the organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Project Management experience
- Proficient in UKG Pro Workforce Management, Ultimate Software, and PeopleFluent.
- Skilled in advanced report writing tools such as PowerBI, Cognos, SSRS, or similar systems
- Fluent in SQL, including writing, reading, and updating advanced queries
- Systems implementation experience.
