Position Summary: The Area Fleet Manager has oversight of multiple Reyes Fleet Management Shops. In addition to providing direction for day to day operations of the business, the Area Fleet Manager will support the Director of Operations with assigned projects within the organization.As part of Reyes Holdings, LLC, one of the largest private fleets in the United States, Reyes Fleet Management, LLC maintains and repairs the transportation fleet and material handling equipment for Great Lakes Coca-Cola Distributing, the Reyes Beverage Group, the Martin Brower Company and Reinhart Foodservice. In addition to the Reyes Fleet Management facilities, Reyes Fleet Management oversees third party maintenance, equipment leasing and vendor relations for the fleet in all Reyes Holdings locations.
Through their knowledge of the distribution industry, the Reyes Fleet Management team works with the companies to reduce costs, ensure compliance standards and assist locations with value added solutions to provide well maintained equipment for employees’ use. Required Skills and Experience:
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years of operations or maintenance experience.
• At least 5 years experience in a Management role.
• Valid Driver’s License to operate applicable company vehicles
• Acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.
• Must be able to travel as required.
• Superior customer relationship management experience.
• Strong and decisive leader with command of the day to day operations.
• Must possess established vendor relationships with 3rd party maintenance providers.
• Strong people and project management skills with outstanding interpersonal skills.
• Proven negotiation and influencing abilities, as well as strong analytical skills and command of details.
• Must be self-motivated and self-directed while staying on course with overall company objectives.
• Able to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers at all levels.
• Exhibits strong managerial skills, drive and willingness to "roll up the sleeves" to get the job done.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.
Preferred:
• Supervisory experience.
• Project management experience.
• Lean Six Sigma certified.
• Bachelor’s degree in a business field.
• Experience as a Maintenance Shop Manager of multiple locations, including some remote.
People or Process Management Responsibility: Direct oversight of both exempt and non-exempt employees; provides direction while overseeing projects
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
• Full accountability over maintenance and repair, parts inventory control, transactional data quality and management services for locations.
• Responsible for prompt and efficient customer service in assigned area, resolving any issues in a courteous manner.
• Analyze all operating metrics, providing guidance on trends and developing prompt actions to correct performance issues or inefficiencies while identifying opportunities to reduce expenses.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed in accordance with all State, Federal and Company standards.
• Provide guidance to shops in assigned area on maintenance costs and spending at budgeted levels.
• Identify systematic opportunities for improvement in Safety, Operations and Maintenance at all locations within assigned area.
• Implement best practices, standardization of maintenance systems and work across the area.
• Lead assigned projects: develop timelines, identify resources and address barriers to defined objectives.
• Develop leadership skills of employees within assigned areas.
• Comply with all safety programs; enforce safety rules and good housekeeping.
• Assure all facilities remain compliant with corporate purchasing indicatives and Fleet Maintenance policies.
• Promote an atmosphere employee engagement through leading by example, open communication, good listening and timely problem resolution.
• Continually introduce best practices and drive operational excellence.
• Any other duties as assigned.
