Essential Functions:
* Under minimal supervision, will operate, maintain, and repair digital RF systems, microwave and serial communication data systems, subsystems, and components.
* Displays a complete understanding of communication and telemetry systems including multiplexers, radios, and fiber optic transmission equipment.
* Good record keeping and verbal communications skills.
* Works well independently and in a team environment.
Required Skills:
* Computer operation and software skills to configure computer operated systems like wide area network interface units (WANIUs).
* Ability to work independently while in a team environment to satisfactorily complete daily tasks, solve technical problems and deal with variable situations where multiple standards may exist.
* Ability to use highly technical test equipment like bit sequencers, and bit error rate analyzers.
* Ability to read and interpret information from technical manuals, schematics, procedures, and to communicate this information to co-workers.
* Ability to train other technicians in the group and represent the group as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Required Experience:
* Associates of Science Degree in Technical field or technical school certification, equivalent military experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
* Seven (7) or more years electronics related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Ability to analyze symptoms and make measurements leading to the detection, isolation, and repair of electronic systems.
* Knowledge of how the different microwave systems operate is a plus.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
* The flexibility to work non-duty hours, weekends, or holidays, in support of launch operations or to respond to facility alarms with little notice.
* Ability to occasionally lift or move 50 pounds.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization.
* Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
* Salary determined by Collective Bargaining Agreement.
* This job is not eligible for telecommuting.
* This position is assigned to Vandenberg, CA.

FOR CALIFORNIA ONLY:
The hourly rate for this role is determined by a Collective Bargaining Unit and ranges from $33.93 to $42.34. RGNext considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training and preferred skills, and knowledge.
