Salary: $100,000 - $130,000/year (depending on experience)

Our client is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of its accounting operations. This is a newly created position offering you the opportunity to make a significant impact from day one.
Key Responsibilities of Accounting Manager:
Lead a team of up to 10 direct reports, including customer service, AR, and AP Specialists
Support the Controller in day-to-day operational accounting tasks
Evaluate and optimize operational accounting processes, including AP, AR, and Collections
Participate in month-end closing and preparing month-end reports, reconciling accounts, and posting journal entries
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial records and reports
Ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate policies
Promote a high-performance work team culture
Experience/Skills Required of Accounting Manager:
At least 1 year of Accounting Management experience - leading AP/AR Clerks, Collections, and/or Staff Accountant direct reports
Prior experience in Cost Accounting
Experience in evaluating and optimizing operational accounting processes
Proficiency in month-end close activities
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively
Industrial or chemical manufacturing experience is a plus
Proactive, self-driven, and capable of diving in to lead and support your team
