Description
- Develop annual customer plans designed to expand distribution and accelerate profit and growth.
- Achieve annual sales & profit goals to attain overall company goals.
- Work with the Senior Demand Planning Analyst to develop effective presentations that outline current market conditions, market trends, customer needs and our competitive advantages. Utilize syndicated data to identify sales opportunities.
- Manage, educate, motivate, and monitor the broker sales force, conveying all product and assortment objectives, key product attributes.
- Communicate solutions and feedback to sales and marketing leadership to provide the best products for retail and category success.
- Share best practices and competitive insight from one market/region to another to maximize overall company sales.
- Manage all tracking/reporting input as it relates to the sales process via CRM.
- Attend trade shows as required to benefit the business.
- Follow all sales and interdepartmental processes and guidelines.
- Effectively executes sales presentations and product demonstrations to build opportunities and close new business.
- Establish relationships with key buying influencers at multiple levels including senior leaders and management.
- Assist with qualifying new business opportunities alongside Sales and cross-functional leadership.
- Align sales activities with internal business strategies and objectives: profitability, market analysis, growth, and capacity utilization.
- Stay current with competitive and innovative developments in the marketplace.
- Manage communication to all functional teams regarding account news and information.
- Understand customer dynamics to develop customer and growth strategies.
- Relationship management – consistently and proactively communicate to keep up with needs, requests, or resolution for current customers and current projects.
- Develops and maintains a robust new business opportunity pipeline.
- Report and present updates and results on a regular basis to Director and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience managing broad portfolio of accounts with collaborative mindset and strong business fundamentals.
- Knowledge of food manufacturing preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Ability to work well with others and add value to a team concept.
- Must have excellent organizational, communication (written and oral), and people skills.
- Business analysis experience preferred.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- High degree of computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel away domestically on an average of 30-40% of time.
