International Customer Service Representative

For over 76 years, Rice Lake Weighing Systems has been a successful, growth-oriented company known as a leader in the weighing industry and our community. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an International Customer Service Representative to join our Sales Team at our Corporate Headquarters.

The International Customer Service Representative performs courteous and professional customer service functions within the international inside sales group. Participates as a team member of the group performing non-technical functions which include all aspects of international sales. Ensures that international customers orders are handled properly and that all customer expectations are exceeded. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Courteously and professionally handles international customer orders and inquiries by identifying customer needs within standard Company policies, procedures, and systems. Shows respect for other cultures and the way in which they do business with a strong empathy for each international customer's feelings and culture, combined with keen awareness to all selling opportunities as they are presented.  Ensures that customer expectations are exceeded for all inquiries and orders based on reliable performance of functions in a fast-paced work environment.
• Meaningful and timely reply to incoming communications; entering quotations, orders, and any other requirements, and efficient expediting and following-up on customer orders or other needs.
• Facilitates and understands all aspects of shipping ordered products to foreign destinations. Ensures shipments minimize transportation cost, transit time and have required customs documentation. Works within the context of any banking requirements imposed upon the Company by the customer or by the Credit Department.
• Assists with training and development of department employees. Includes developing training, providing On-The-Job training, scheduling product training and other training activities.
• Assists in monitoring credit, customer service and traffic functions for all international activities. 
• Works within scheduled hours to assure a quick and effective response to customer inquiries, while being both available and adaptable to ever-changing work situations; flexible schedule anywhere between the hours of 6:30am to 6:30pm weekdays.

Minimum Experience, Requirements & Skills:

• Second language preferred 
• Associate’s Degree in Technical Field including Marketing, Sales, Business Administration or related field; or four (4) or more years of related work experience.
• Two (2) or more years of international sales/traffic experience.
• High level of interpersonal skills including influencing, conflict resolution, and creative problem-solving.
• The selected candidate will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, advanced interpersonal and organizational skills, and good personal computing skills including Excel, Word, Internet and Outlook.
