FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):
- Greets parents and students and assists in the completion of all required enrollment documentation.
- Determines CIDOR/Proof of residency.
- Enters TREX for all incoming students, and fulfills TREX requests for withdrawn students.
- Enrolls students and accurately enters demographics in student data system in a timely manner.
- Scans all related student documents in to student data system.
- Issues preliminary student schedule.
- Enters all schedules provided by counselor.
- Secures proper documentation for withdraws and enters data in to student data system.
- Follows up on leavers and documents proper leaver codes.
- Notifies student/teachers/Diags/LSSP’s of student schedule changes in a timely manner.
- Accurately enters transfer credits in a timely manner.
- Enters student coding such as special education, ESL, 504, at risk, and economically disadvantaged as directed and in a timely manner.
- Enters health records in a timely manner.
- Runs reports cards, progress reports, course completions, and assists with grades management as directed.
- Places and receives telephone calls, fields questions and records accurate messages.
- Greets students, parents, staff, and visitors in a pleasant and professional manner. This also includes; being open and respectful regarding all requests from staff, parents, students, and other stakeholders as needed.
- Compiles operational statistics and other data as assigned.
- Produce and submit internal reports, as assigned by the School Director and Executive Director of Instructional Operations in a timely manner.
- Performs such other tasks and assumes such responsibilities as the School Director may from time to time assign or delegate.
- Preparing and sending correspondence to parents as directed by the School Director.
- Prepares and provides the Executive Director of Instructional Operations with accurate and timely reports as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required, associates degree preferred.
- Previous registrar experience preferred, other secretarial experience may be considered.
- Must have knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook and a minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute accurately.
- Must have excellent time management and customer service skills.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining comprehensive filing systems, which includes confidential information and a combination of skills to include record keeping and operating office equipment.
- Ability to independently prioritize and to function accurately and smoothly under
pressure.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding student and staff situations and sensitive
school and district information.
- Must be willing to attend training throughout the school year at the Regional Service Center, the Austin State Office, or at another RMA campus, if requested to do so.
- Proven ability to work in a polite and friendly manner and relate to a variety of
constituencies, including, but not limited to administrators, parents, teachers, students,
other school staff, and school visitors.
- Must have proper, positive, and professional communication skills. This includes
excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possesses excellent organizational skills.
- Must possess a sense of humor.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the district may find appropriate and acceptable.
SUPERVISES: N/A
SALARY: Based on board approved RMA TX pay scale.
TRAVEL: Local travel primarily, some within the state of Texas.

NORMAL WORKING HOURS AND DAYS:
Monday through Friday, as designated by the school site hours of operation and the Student Academic Calendar for the location.
