What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sourcing Specialist position at Richland Industries, LLC?
SUMMARY
We are looking for a highly motivated sourcing specialist to assist and lead the sourcing process to identify, negotiate and procure the required goods, materials, and services for Richland Industries through collaborative engagement with appropriate department team members and creating strong relationships with suppliers while maintaining existing ones, to ensure that costs remain within budget.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists the Purchasing Manager with the development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives and plans.
- Engages with the Contract Manufacturing & Estimating Department to assist with the sourcing of raw materials and outside contractor services for existing and new projects.
- Providing solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing.
- Manages assigned projects to ensure on time, on budget delivery of raw materials and supplier deliverables.
- Negotiates with suppliers on quality, delivery, pricing and obtain quotations from them.
- Generating quote analysis and contributing to the internal supplier selection process based on the quotes.
- Builds and maintains long-lasting relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiates agreements with supply base to ensure Richland’s requirements are protected and delivers maximum benefit to Richland.
- Identifies and implements new suppliers to produce cost savings on existing raw materials.
- Knowledgeable on the procurement of raw materials, metals market indexes and pricing trends.
- Negotiate with suppliers to improve price, quality, lead time and minimum order quantities to increase Richland Industries’ competitive advantage.
- Assists in evaluations and audits of suppliers for compliance with applicable requirements and specifications.
- Assist the Purchasing Manager on formalized projects as assigned.
- Assist Purchasing Manager in analyzing raw materials, hardware, and other goods and services to improve inventory levels, turns and cash flow requirements. Assists with implementing inventory optimization strategies within the company.
- Knowledgeable of strategic agreements, major site service agreements, system's contracts and major leases.
- Be able to interpret and access all applicable Quality Standards and Customer specific requirement documents related to supply chain process(s).
- Knowledgeable of suppliers within region and of market influence.
- Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepares market analysis reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft word, PowerPoint, EXCEL, and Outlook.
- A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies and processes.
- Strong negotiation skills
- Sound time-management and organizational skills.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
