Ride The Wave is seeking a full time Lead Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) to work in our clinic. This is a great position to learn the field of Applied Behavior Analysis or to get started in the field of Psychology.
Candidates must already be certified as RBTs, from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
Scope of Position: Lead Registered Behavior Technician (RBTS) provide implementation of Individualized Behavior Plans under the direct supervision of a BCBA, BCBA-D, or BCaBA. The Lead RBT provides the following services: Implementation of teaching skills, interventions for behavior reduction, data collection of all deceleration and acceleration programs, and training the caregiver/guardians. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles are used by the Lead RBT to teach individuals diagnosed with language, communication, behavioral, and developmental disorders. In addition to the responsibilities outlined in the Registered Behavior Technician Job Description, the Lead RBT is responsible for Initial and ongoing training of newly certified RBTs.
The RBT position consists of providing individual and small group instruction utilizing the principles of ABA to children aged 2-7 in clinical and community settings. Significant support and supervision is provided by the Board Certified Behavior Analysts onsite to assist in the growth and development of the staff as well as the clients.

Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred, high school diploma is required. Continuing pursuit of higher roles in field preferred (BCaBA, BCBA, BCBA-D)
Certification: Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Registered Behavior Technician is required.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ability to implement and follow directions assigned from BCBA/CEO
- Ability to effectively and appropriately communicate with staff members and supervisors on implementation and progress of plan
- Completes and documents fidelity and competency checks monthly, while providing feedback and follow-up
- Checks tasks list and completes tasks by set deadlines
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism in dealing with family members/caregivers/ guardians
- Teach and implement skills set forth in individualized behavior plans as directed by the BCBA
- Complete daily progress notes and any other documentation required by individualized funders
- Under the guidance of the behavior analyst, provide support as needed to include creating teaching skills, graphing, developing reports, skill probes, functional skill assessments, curricular assessments
- Creation and maintenance of materials such as picture cards, games, token boards, etc.
- Participate and ensure organization and cleanliness of the center on a daily basis
- Provide initial and ongoing training to newly certified RBTs
- Assist with coverage if and when necessary
- Follow and enforce company policies and procedures
- Assist in community building activities and participation in local events
- Other duties as assigned by the BCBA/CEO
- Qualifications:
- RBT Certification
- CPR/First-Aid/ AED Certification
- Strong Verbal and written communication
- Time management, organizational skills, and problem-solving capabilities
- Team player that works collaboratively and compassionately with others, including caregivers
- Four years experience with children and/or individuals with disabilities or challenges
- Ability to learn computer systems and input data
- Must be fun, upbeat, energetic, and creative
- Must be physically fit and able to lift and carry clients.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
