Job Summary:
Ridge Corporation is a solutions driven manufacturing company that brings concepts to life through the application of composites and advanced materials. We are seeking a highly-motivated individual to join our team as our Purchasing Manager. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for all procurement and purchasing activities associated with maintenance and operations as well as indirect items by other assigned departments. The Purchasing Manager will report to the Director of Materials and collaborate closely with all organizational units including: Accounting, Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Safety. This person will have multiple responsibilities and must thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Generating purchase orders for Manufacturing and Office Supplies, Engineering and Maintenance materials.
- Manage manufacturing and office supplies to ensure team members have the items they need to perform their jobs.
- Verify vendor open order reports match company documents and ensure inbound materials arrive on time per production/maintenance timelines. Follow up on past due requirements.
- Creating, revising and/or monitoring standard purchasing forms, including bid requests, materials requisitions, purchase orders, logs, reports, and trending materials.
- Resolve discrepancies with purchase orders among Receiving, Accounting, and Vendors.
- Generating reports for internal customers including estimates of supplies and materials costs. Identify unusually high usage of parts and supplies and anticipate and recognize suspected shortages.
- Be a resource for internal customers by researching, sourcing, and solving problems.
- Organize purchases to fit inside established budgets and meet cash flow goals set forth on a quarterly basis.
- Working directly with Shipping/Receiving to ensure materials delivered on time or arrange for emergency pick-up and delivery for urgently needed items.
- Working with internal customers to manage stocking levels of materials and supplies.
- Presenting quarterly reports to the Director of materials regarding Vendor performance KPIs
- Communicating with vendors, clients, and technical resources on the needs and demands of all business units.

1. Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook

5. Self -motivated with the ability to work well with diverse teams of colleagues and clients
6. Good applied interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
7. Solid understanding of the procure to pay process.
