This position is primarily a receptionist role while occasionally assisting from time to time. Excellent customer service and administrative skills along with fluency in current dental assisting techniques are required. The ideal candidate is well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We are looking for someone who is skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to execute office procedures effectively and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Make patients feel welcome at Ridgeway Dental
- Managing daily schedule and scheduling appointments
- Checking patients in and out, answering phones and checking voicemails
- Reviewing treatment plans and associated costs
- Sending insurance claims and posting insurance payments
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
- Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed
- Capturing digital x-rays
- Sterilizing instruments according to regulations
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
