Responsibilities, Essential Functions
Evaluate manufacturing schedule and coordinate the availability and controlled, on-time flow of procured raw materials, finished goods and services to support in-house Manufacturing to meet customer and forecast requirements
Manages Min/Max Kanban inventory fulfillment and mitigates part shortages
Provide detailed status of work in progress, and material availability, and communicate constraints to schedule
Prepares Purchase Orders for the external procurement of parts and finished goods based on the master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements
Coordinate interdepartmental activity with warehouse, inspection, quality, operations, purchasing, engineering and logistics
Schedule and expedite the movement of parts using move orders, stock transfers, and requests for shipping orders
Work cross-functionally to expedite any material shortages with procurement, receiving, quality, and other production areas
Implement and maintain material stocking strategy on production lines, monitor, control and maintain proper floor stock
Control and re-stock the proper access and consumption of materials, parts and consumables in manufacturing
Partner with Production Manager to ensure work is completed on time and budget to schedule
Monitor the disposition of material damage / waste, initiate RMA’s and credit memos with suppliers
Process Scrap and quarantine non-conforming and obsolete inventory from WIP locations as required
Prepare for, conduct, and assist in the reconciliation of cycle counts
Work with Production teams to resolve part discrepancies and prescribe corrective actions
Must possess good organizational skills, the ability to work well with others, good decision-making skills, and the ability to think outside the box
Monitors Purchase Orders alignment with Demand changes and adjusts accordingly
Maintains updated delivery information from suppliers for accuracy and visibility to production
Responsible for inventory management and stocking strategies
Participates in continuous improvement activities and provides suggestions for cost reduction and improved efficiencies
Releases and manages manufacturing pick lists to the warehouse for kitting
Coordinate between warehouse and suppliers purchasing staff on material shortages, recoveries, etc.
Notifies Leadership of any schedule impacts to orders or customers
Assist WIP definition, control data and visual management
Work with planning, manufacturing, and purchasing departments in identifying and resolving potential production scheduling problems
Develop and assist process improvements for inventory, manufacturing, and production control systems to meet business objectives.
Investigate concerns and reports to the department leader(s) necessary adjustments and how the information is to be communicated to related departments for the recovery
Support receiving inspection of materials and finished good, separate and package into Kanban quantities at point of use stations in Manufacturing
Qualifications:
1 years of production planning or supply chain experience
Experience with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) selection and implementation
Experience with activities related to planning and/or scheduling
Experience working with a cross-functional team
Excellent computer skills with MS Office, ERP experience desired.
Excellent written /verbal communication skills
Demonstrates understanding and can apply continuous improvement terminology/tools: LEAN, Six Sigma principles/DFSS/Lean design principles, Value Stream, and Kaizen
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder)
Desired:
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree
Advanced Excel Experience
Based upon job duties, may need to work in various areas that may cause exposure to fumes, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals (well below OSHA and ACGIH exposure guidelines), outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts, and/or be part of a hearing conservation program due to noise levels around certain equipment.
Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary.
Experience with ERP and MRP systems literacy
Ability to handle multiple decisions based on workload dispersion, priorities, management and customer decisions
Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc)
Strong interpersonal skills including excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong math and analytical skills to solve problems
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Background in production/manufacturing environment
Technical aptitude is a plus
Experience in/aptitude for Customer Service

Assist in production if needed
Other Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinate the schedule, plan, and initial staging of material/kits to all vital areas of production
Identify and communicate constraints in the production flow and work with area leads to discuss possible solutions.
Interface and connect with internal and external customers for potential impact or delays in the schedule.
Partner with Production Management for tracking and estimated completion dates of travelers
Updating estimated on-dock dates in scheduling system, ex: assemblies in inventory ready for assembly
Devise and coordinate Metrics around OTD, Backlog, Pending Orders, & adherence to schedule.
Assists with administrative tasks & projects as needed.
Assemble job packets, and print out all necessary paperwork needed.
Issues purchase orders for raw materials & other shop supplies.
Double check that all components have arrived prior to commencing with large volume Production Orders
Update production schedule, assist with scheduling jobs and coordinate with Production Manager
Assist with weekly cycle count and year end audits.

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
