Events by Rincon, Santa Barbara’s top rated event venue, catering and event production company is looking for an Event Planner to join our team!
Since 1984, Events by Rincon has been serving the greater Santa Barbara County and Ventura County with a team of professional & dedicated employees. Our team focuses on providing the highest quality of customer care and team work day in and day out. Currently, we have an opportunity for an Event Planner to join our team and be part of the continued and future overall success of our event production and catering business. This position will work side by side with the owner and the rest of the Rincon Team.
Our ideal candidate will be an expert in our field of events and all aspects of hospitality. They must possess immense personal integrity, mental discipline and the ability to be a self starter and work under pressure. Our Event Planner must be driven to succeed but understand how to balance life, family and the hospitality business. A successful planner will have the confidence & grace to organizing memorable events, meet owner and client expectations, deadlines & work as a team player.
Event Planner Essential Responsibilities:
- Event planning, design and production while managing all project delivery elements within time limits
- Produce events from conception through completion
- Communicate with clients via phone, email or in person
- Put together/assist in bids/preliminary estimates
- Meet with potential and existing clients
- Liaise with clients to identify their needs and to ensure customer satisfaction
- Provide feedback and periodic reports to team & owner
- Propose ideas to improve provided services and event quality
- Organize and manage all event’s details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, invitee list, etc
- Specify staff requirements for day of event to owner and scheduling manager
- Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems with planning & on the event day
This position is for you if you have:
- Proven experience as an events planner or organizer
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Sales skills and ability to build productive business relationships
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently
- The ability to work under pressure
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
