What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator/Material Handler position at Rinker Materials?
We are looking for a forklift operator to move/load concrete structures and material around our facility. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. Your job could involve moving products from inside the plant to the yard, loading trailers with product to go to jobsites, etc. You must be a responsible individual, preferably with experience in driving industrial vehicles. Being at work every day and on time is a must. Must be willing to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow).
Responsibilities
- Load correct product safely onto trailers
- Move product from inside plant to proper area in yard
- Identify damage and quality deficiencies to management
- Transport raw materials to production workstations
- Inspect machinery daily to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment
- Patch/Repair product if needed
Skills
- Proven experience as forklift operator
- Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
- Good physical condition and coordination
- Valid certification to operate forklifts
- High school diploma
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
