Summary
Main contact for our business membership and partner of Business Originators (maximum of 2 Originators) to sell business deposits and services to build comprehensive and full business relationships with our membership. Identify prospects within our community for additional prospective business membership opportunities.

Principle Job Duties
- Meets with Business Members to review account needs, put together proposals for new account/services recommended
- Works with the Business and Treasury Manager to implement an individual sale and service activity plan to align with the team’s overall performance. This will be an overall strategy plan of how monthly goals will be met; example: number of phone calls a month to existing or prospective members, number of meetings with prospective or existing members, number of community development groups participation will be in
- Gathers needed business and owner documentation for new business accounts
- Proactively looks for ways to enhance sales performance by seeking coaching from management, peers and partners to better strategy
- Ensures sales activities are aligned to create value for both the member and the credit union. Sales results should align with the needs of the community and ultimately support the organizational commitment to diverse business memberships.
- Effectively engages partners (Commercial/Construction Originators or Vendors) to develop holistic member relationships.
- Represents the Credit Union in the community by attending and participating in civic and community events for purpose of generating additional business and contacts.
Service & Sales
- Ensures service and referral activities are aligned to create value for both the member and the credit union.
- Uses problem-solving, listening, understanding and responding techniques to address members’ immediate needs and when appropriate, link need to a solution where there is an opportunity to expand or retain a relationship.
- Regularly creates value added conversations with members to uncover opportunities to make quality referrals to branch or other business partners.
- Ensures that individual quarterly goals are met as outlined in the incentive plan and monthly scorecard.
Operations & Compliance
- Adheres to all regulations, compliance and Credit Union’s policies, procedures and delegated authorities.
- Manages risk related to credit, operational, reputational, regulatory and legal aspects of personal interactions.
- Accurately identify all members using RGCU approved types of identification for all transactions.
- Completely and accurately obtain and input all CIP information for new accounts.
- Properly update all necessary CIP information in the core processor for prime and joint members and customers on all accounts for all transactions.
- Complete and scan all required Bank Secrecy Act business documentation such as but not limited to: the business account questionnaire and the Beneficial Ownership form.
- Accurately perform OFAC during transactions such as but not limited to: opening new accounts; adding individuals to an account or shares; producing cashier’s checks or money orders; initiating wires, etc.
- Ensure that all accounts, loans, and transactions are reviewed for the appropriate red flags.
- Report all suspicious activity to the Risk Management department via the compliance group email

Education and/or Experience
2 to 5 years of related experience
4-year college degree or specialized course of study or 5 years related experience.
