Starting pay = $20.00/hr
THIS IS A PART-TIME HOURLY POSITION WORKING 20 HOURS PER WEEK, OCASSIONAL NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS.
As an Event Coordinator you'll facilitate volunteers through our meal packing experience so it runs smoothly and hosts are satisfied. You'll drive equipment and materials to and from the event in a box truck (no CDL license needed). You will represent Rise Against Hunger with hosting groups and use your outgoing personality and public speaking skills to empower volunteers to join our mission to end hunger, one event at a time!

Our Community Engagement team leads the charge of recruiting groups who want to host an engaging meal packing experience for their members or employees. We are a team of volunteer coordinators, fundraising and donor relationship professionals with the collective goal of ending world hunger through the communities where we live. We operate a face-paced mission-driven volunteer and donor engagement program with events for businesses, faith-based organizations, and educational institutions. We act as leaders in the movement to end hunger.

Requirements
- You are age 21 years or older
- Proficiency in Google/Microsoft office suite as well as other cloud-based software
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record with a willingness to drive a box truck to transport materials to and from events
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting or operating pallet jacks including frequently lifting up to 50lbs
- Must be able to comply with DOT regulations and maintain DOT certification (DOT does not allow any history of marijuana use even for medicinal purposes)
- Flexibility to work weekends as well as some evenings and early mornings
- Resourcefulness to work in different spaces and environments
- Experience with non-profit work is helpful but not required
