What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Sales Manager position at Rise Brands?

The Event Sales Manager - Central Ohio will champion relationship building between Rise Brands and destination management companies, large corporations, non-profit, and social organizations, to bring events to multiple Pins Mechanical Co. locations. The Event Sales Manager should be an adaptable sales professional with an entrepreneurial spirit. 

The right person for this role will have a guest-first mindset, have the want and drive to actively solicit new business, the mentality to accept rejection, have strong administrative skills to manage leads, thrive in a creative, fast-paced environment, and work with team members to ensure the success of Rise Brands’ events program in creating engaging experiences. They will work through all-stages of the event sales process including post-event follow-up to ensure repeat business and referrals. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and document all events within our CRM Triple Seat.
  • Drive event revenue growth through establishing key standard operating procedures, key performance metrics, benchmarking, and internal reporting. 
  • Projection of monthly, quarterly, and yearly event sales. 
  • Manage lead generation and count management for all events. 
  • Attend community events, client events, conventions, and trade shows as a Brand Ambassador. 
  • Responsible for building a pipeline of corporate and social guests by various methods of contact including but not limited to: calls, emails, in-person appointments, and networking events, scheduling tours, and transferring hot leads to contract.
  • Manage multiple projects and clients at any given time with the ability to adapt fluidly to the changing nature of a client’s needs.
  • Provide unparalleled guest service from initial contact through post-event follow-up to guarantee repeat guests and referrals.
  • Schedule and execute site-tours.
  • Network within communities and professional functions to expand areas of opportunities for brand awareness.
  • Act as communication liaison between Home Office and location teams executing detailed events.
  • Travel to key feeder markets/conventions to promote and market brand for guests traveling to our markets.
  • Support Events Director in the execution of promotional event marketing campaigns and other event responsibilities as needed.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • BS/BA in hospitality, event management, or relevant field, or 3-7 years equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated hospitality management experience, preferably in a large or high volume concept.
  • 3 years experience working with outside sales. 1-3 years of event sales within a bar, restaurant, or hotel environment is required. 
  • Ability to execute a plan to meet or exceed event revenue goals.
  • Working knowledge of Tripleseat or other event management software preferred.
  • Must be able to travel to other locations during peak volume, including nights and weekends.
  • Must be highly motivated, self-directed, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organization, attention to detail, and sales skills.
  • Consistently demonstrates principles of positivity, hospitality, and professionalism.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including, walking, standing, and/or lifting heavy items for extended periods of time.

Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
