What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Designer position at RITEC?
We are excited to be expanding our design team. We need a seasoned Solidworks designer capable of preparing well dimensioned and complete set of detailed drawings from an engineer's 3D model.

We hope you com in ready to apply yourbackground to develop a set of parts assembly drawings that results in a product that is easy to manufacture and difficult to build incorrectly. We are striving for production Zero Rework, any ideas? You must be mindful of manufacturing costs, and employ our exisitng library of parts as much as practical.
RITEC is an industrial and aerospace company held to high ISO and AS9100D standards therefore, your designs and documentation must be top notch and comply with all our or standard formats and quality standards.
If you have experience in developing electromechanical systems, GREAT! If you don't, you have an opportunity to learn here. Do have experience in developing severe environment packaging that can withstand a wide temperature range, substantial shock and vibration? Great! If not you have an opportunity to learn here.
In order start making contributions right away, you need to bring with you a deep undertanding of tolerancing, machining techniques, materials selection to meet operating environments is a must. If you are familiar with of the use of Altium databases and integration into Solidworks documents, that would be a plus!
We use PDM here to manage our drawings and releases. Are you familiar with this? If so, let us know in your application.
As you can tell, you need some experience (5 years at least) and some training (AA degree expected) to contribute at a seasoned level. Grow from there, learn new things, work on many varied projects and become a key member of our Engineering team.
