Essential Job Functions:
- Welcomes guests to the Sportsbook room and explains Sportsbook promotional programs to potential guests and keeps guests informed of all promotional activities and events.
- Responsible for being well-versed in the products and services offered in the Sportsbook room and the ability to promote them to guests in a confident and efficient manner.
- Communicates and explains wagering to new guests and is able to use simple terms to communicate the process of wagering.
- Must maintain strict confidence of any and all confidential and proprietary information disclosed by the Casino, team member of the Casino, or a guest of the Casino
- Clearly communicate all pertinent information and any irregularities to your manager and fellow supervisors.
- Resolves complaints and difficult situations in a calm and patient manner.
- Ensures compliance with Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations, the company’s internal controls and departmental procedures.
- Ensure the Sportsbook area is clean and in proper working condition daily.
- Supervise, assist, and train Sportsbook Writers.
- Manages R1SE observations to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Complimentary privileges within prescribed limits in accordance with the approved Comp Matrix.
- Uses discretion to review all Sportsbook over-the-limit wagers for the property within prescribed guidelines for approval or denial.
- Close out Sportsbook Writers at the end of the shift and ensure money has been transferred to the main cage.
- Ensure compliance with currency transaction requirements, Title 31, and money laundering and other gaming requirements.
- All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to positively and effectively coach, mentor and develop Team Members.
- Ability to communicate in English verbally and in written format with all levels of Team Members and guests.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, smoke, and dust.
- Ability to maintain a thorough knowledge of Company and departmental policies and procedures, as well as pertinent state gaming laws.
- Minimum one (1) year prior cashiering/money handling experience preferred.
- Must have previous experience working as a Supervisor.
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year experience in sports betting, gaming, or related.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical and Mental Demands:
- Regularly required to see, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Must occasionally lift and lift up to 10 pounds.
- Able to work with others while maintaining a positive and courteous demeanor under occasional fast paced and noisy work conditions.
