SUPERHERO NURSES REPORT TO THIS AD!
We are looking for reliable RNs/LPNs (Licensed Practical Nurses) to care for our medically needy clients in Valrico, FL in a professional and considerate manner. You will work at a small facility under the supervision of a registered nurse, APRN and physicians with no more than four patients (currently 3 are admitted). You must be comfortable working on a team and with a CNA/HHA during your shift for patient care and support. Nursing professionals must be qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidates will be experienced in providing diverse basic and skilled care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm. The ideal nurses for this position must be competent and have experience with tracheostomies, ventilators, and g-tubes. You should have a positive attitude and a caring heart, and most importantly you must LOVE what you do!...because our entire team does :)
The primary service area is Valrico, FL. The shifts are 7am-7pm, with the possibility of 8hr shifts (7-3, 3-11,11-7). This coverage is to ensure the health and safety of the patients--absolutely NO sleeping while on duty.
Nurse Responsibilities:
- Performing assigned duties, including administration of medication, wound care as needed, nebulizer treatments, trach care and suction, tube feeding and other procedures.
- Provides direct, autonomous care and assesses the effective of the treatment to ensure that the patient receives the most comprehensive, high-quality, and appropriate care possible
- Provides nursing care and prescribed treatments for patients in their home/facility, according to the physician's plan of care as supervised by RN while following confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Monitoring clients' conditions; reporting changes to Clinical Manager and Client Services Manager.
- Following up with, executing, and properly documenting doctors' orders and documentation of nursing visit notes.
- Performing client assessments as necessary.
- Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc.
- Teach and counsel the patient and family/significant others regarding the nursing care needs and other related problems of the patient at home for discharge
Skills
- Prior home care experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with feeding tubes, developmental disabilities, tracheostomies, neurological disorders, endocrine disorders (and possible injections) required.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures
- Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
- Excellent knowledge of medical terminology
- Good knowledge of data entry
- Great physical condition and excellent stamina
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and able to handle stress
Qualifications:
- A current license as a Licensed Practice Nurse or Registered Nurse in the state of Florida.
- Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by school transcript or diploma.
- Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
- Reliable transportation and dependability
- CPR/BLS certification
Active, unrestricted FL LPN license
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (must be verifiable)
Diploma/Degree/Transcripts
Valid Driver's license and social security card
Reliable transportation with active vehicle registration and insurance
Valid BLS and First Aid card (ACLS a plus!)
Recent statement of health (within the last 12 months)
Smart device access (laptop or tablet preferred)
Good writing skills

Pay: $27-$35 per hour
Supplemental Pay:
