Position Summary:

An ideal candidate for our Human Resources position would have strong leadership abilities, personable, highly organized, effective thinker, and efficient planning strategies. This employee is interquel in effectively launching and supporting new initiatives and be willing to share strategies with management specific to the creation of culture, retention and support of employees and critical initiatives to support our growing companies. Supporting qualifications for this position are knowledge of QuickBooks, payroll, and benefit administration. We are looking for a team player that matches our culture and core values and wants to grow their career with us.

Objectives and Competencies:

Typical duties of Human Resources would include the following requirements of the position:

  • Maintain company initiatives, serving our five (5) growing businesses.
  • Create and develop companywide culture.
  • Competency in State and Federal laws as they relate to payroll and employee
  • entitlements.
  • Use QuickBooks to process payroll for each of our five businesses, while monitoring hours and labor margins.
  • Coordinate and support employee anniversary initiatives, annual awards, and life events.
  • Support employee growth.
  • Conduct employee reviews on a cadence set by the business.
  • Provide positive team leadership and motivation.
  • Be confident in their ability draft correction action plans, professional improvement plans and employee discipline.
  • Draft and maintain employee handbooks according to state, federal and departmental guidelines.
  • Coordinate employee working hours and create workforce schedules.

  • Responsible for the creation of job descriptions, publications, and interviews.
  • Onboarding new employees and creating established levels of learning.
  • Identify, compose and process grant funding opportunities.
  • Process all state and federal tax forms promptly according to IRS guidelines.

Education and Experience: Minimum of five (5) years in employee management, or a related field. Employee must have a strong understanding of computers, including but not limited to; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and Google (Email, Docs, Sheets, etc.).

Physical Requirements: Employee must be able to sit for extended periods of time in a computer setting. This position would also require active participation in an office environment which may require stairs, bending and lifting of 15 pounds.
