About Rivian

This role requires a highly organized self-starter with a thorough understanding of the design process and a proven track record for managing complex projects in an iterative and fast-paced setting, both in environmental and digital domains. • Partner with Creative Directors to establish a bridge between Environments, including digital commerce, communication, and marketing, while managing interdependencies.
  • Lead the optimization of communication channels, facilitating effective information flow from creative teams to design leadership and extending these channels to cross-functional partners, promoting a unified vision.
  • Spearhead and champion large-scale initiatives, align stakeholders across multifaceted teams, including senior leadership and executives, and ensure organizational cohesion and strategic direction.
  • Develop and manage extensive program roadmaps, timelines, and communications across vertical programs spanning multiple channels and product functions.
  • Communicate and negotiate priorities, scope, expectations, dates, and milestones with cross-functional team members, including product management, engineering, quality assurance, and senior leadership and executives.
  • Manage the full program and project lifecycle, from prioritization and briefing to creative development, delivery, visual quality assurance, and post-launch iteration.
  • Create and execute a strategy for the design team's growth and well-being, including educational activities and workshops, while fostering collaboration with other departments.
  • Collaborate closely with finance and procurement teams to provide budget forecasting and effectively manage contracts with freelancers and external agencies, ensuring fiscal responsibility and resource optimization
  • Explore opportunities to showcase the design team's work through awards and industry recognition. Encourage participation in design competitions and events to raise the department's profile within the design community.
  • Ensure the design team has access to the latest design tools, software, and resources needed to excel in their work. Stay informed about emerging design technologies and recommend relevant tools for adoption.
