ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Cart Barn and Driving Range Attendant, you play a critical role in ensuring an exceptional golf experience for our members and guests. This multifaceted position involves managing the golf cart fleet, maintaining the driving range, and providing excellent service to golfers. This role would be for three months with the possibility of being full time after three months.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the readiness and cleanliness of golf carts, ensuring they are charged and stocked with necessary supplies (scorecards, pencils, towels).
- Perform routine inspections, minor repairs, and maintenance of golf carts.
- Monitor and control cart traffic on the golf course to maintain a smooth pace of play.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the driving range, including picking up golf balls, ensuring ball dispensers are stocked, and cleaning used golf balls.
- Repair and replace damaged range equipment as needed.
- Ensure safety and compliance with range rules and regulations.
- Greet and assist club members and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide information, answer questions, offer assistance with loading/unloading golf bags and equipment, and ferry members and guests as requested.
- Offer guidance on the use of the driving range and provide range balls to players.
- Enforce safety guidelines and regulations related to cart and driving range usage.
- Address any safety concerns promptly and report major issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist members and guests with special requests, such as directions, course information, or rental club arrangements.
- Contribute to an enjoyable golfing experience for all players.
- Ensure the cart barn, staging area, and range equipment are organized, clean, and properly maintained.
- Retrieve, store, and secure carts and range equipment at the end of each day.
- All other duties as assigned by the Cart Barn and Driving Range Supervisor and Director of Golf that reasonably falls within the scope of the position and department.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to perform routine cart maintenance and inspections.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and organization.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record, required.
- Ability to work the entirety of a scheduled shift outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 5 hours at a time.
- Ability to consistently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Discretion and confidentiality regarding members, guests, and all Riviera operations and events.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and demanding schedules.
- Professionalism, poise, and a positive attitude, even in high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of the country club industry or hospitality sector (preferred, not required).
- Knowledge and passion for golf, golf course operations, or the golf industry (preferred, not required).
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
EXPERIENCE
- One year in a similar position, preferred.
GROOMING
All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per club standards.
Must wear uniform at all times while at work.
OTHER
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the club. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
