Position Summary
The Parts Sales Representative is primarily responsible for the quoting, sale and delivery of customer spare parts as well as maintaining all documentation related to this support. This person will also perform any tasks assigned by the Part Sales Coordinator and the Program Director.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer quotes via phone and email.
- Address all customer requests and orders in a timely manner.
- Review and process all customer parts orders.
- Track and/or expedite all customer sales orders.
- Correspond with Purchasing Department for the delivery and status of outstanding purchase orders.
- Assist customers in identifying part numbers from various technical documentation.
- Participate in cross training within AMS Department to ensure expected levels of customer service are maintained during employee absences.
- Ensure export control requirements are adhered to when shipping parts outside of the USA.
- Maintain and update standard product pricing sheet.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Comply with all company rules and policies.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Perform all other duties in the best interest of the company or as directed by the Supervisor.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- One-year data entry must be computer proficient and have the ability to adapt to a variety of software applications.
- Ability to read and understand contracts, blueprints, operating manuals, letters of credits, domestic and International shipping documents.
- Ability to perform basic calculations.
- Ability to communicate with others, both orally and written.
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizen or qualified U.S. Person in accordance with ALU 22CFR 120.15. May require the ability to obtain DOD security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Customer Service experience working with customers by phone/email in a high volume & fast paced environment.
- Experience with Infor CSI ERP software.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
This position is regularly exposed to the following conditions:
- Manufacturing, warehouse, and office environments
- While working near moving equipment, mechanical parts and lift trucks; must have the ability to follow safe operating procedures.
- May be exposed to loud noise, fumes and/or toxic chemicals.
Must have the following physical abilities:
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, reach, and lift.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
