Rize is seeking a a Sr. UX Researcher to help develop a deeper understanding of our audience and their needs for our world-class Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS).

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
As Rize’s first UX Researcher on our growing UX & Design team, we are looking for someone comfortable with building up processes and advocating for the Rize user across teams. Your research will help us define the strategy, improve the usability, usefulness, desirability and impact of our administrative tools and developer resources.
The role will involve planning and conducting research in a variety of methods to identify opportunities to deliver features that best meet our user’s needs. You must be comfortable crafting research questions and determining the best method to understand the problem space – whether that’s qualitative, quantitative or some mix.
You should feel comfortable sharing and advocating for these insights across the company – working closely with our product designer, product managers, client services team, engineers and stakeholders.
WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:
- Generate research questions and recommend the most appropriate methodologies for uncovering user insights throughout our product’s lifecycle from discovery to live product validation
- Plan and facilitate research and feedback sessions based on the product team’s questions and goals
- Strategize research participant outreach efforts
- Synthesize research findings, independently and in collaboration with designers, product team members and other stakeholders.
- Utilize insights from user research to drive requirements gathering, customer personas, customer stories and use cases
- Communicate research and analysis clearly and effectively across various organizations. Create shared empathy to support, explain, and coach colleagues from sophisticated design experts to non-designers on the value of human-centered design
- Design and facilitate cross-functional workshops with internal and external partners around solving a clearly defined problem based on your research insights
WHAT YOU’LL NEED IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- 5 years of experience conducting UX research with an in-depth understanding of a range of user research methods such as in-depth user interviews, contextual inquiry, journey mapping, participatory design, competitive analysis, user testing, and usability testing
- A portfolio that shows a strong body of work including outstanding research design, strategy, execution and impact
- Experience leading research at different parts of the product development process from discovery to delivery
- Experience working in a highly-regulated financial environment is a plus
