SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and mechanical equipment. This will include installing new equipment, performing regular services, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns. Maintain and oversee the company’s grounds, buildings and equipment to ensure the workspace is safe and functional. Duties include negotiating contracts with service providers, inspecting facilities with the Safety Manager and Safety Team to meet safety regulations and coordinating renovations and updates.
Reports to: Director of Plant Operations
Mentors: Plant Manager, Production Manager, Director of Manufacturing, Production Supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Delegating cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members
- Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces
- Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed
- Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
- Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors
- Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders
- Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff
- Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
- Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs
- Maintain owner’s manuals and maintenance records for each piece of equipment in the facility
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment in multiple facilities
- Repair equipment and small tools
- Coordinate new equipment installations including power and utilities
- welding and fabrication of fixtures, tables etc
- Build trusted working relationships with team members and other business partners
- Additional duties as required

- Knowledge of mechanical maintenance process

- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and heating systems

Accountability:
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- All employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present. Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected
- RKMC employees and subcontractors are required to implement and maintain all safety and health systems practices including the training requirement of RK Mission Critical, LLC

Minimum Physical Requirements:
- Work predominately inside and in dusty and noisy areas.
- Work in high places, tight places, and confined spaces.
- Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift, move and/or carry up to 40lbs occasionally.
- Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required
- Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in conditions that include heat and cold.
- Noise levels can fluctuate from quiet to loud.
- Hazards associated with the industry.
