Purpose of the Position
As part of a dedicated Education Sales Team, you will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and closing new software opportunities. Sales will be conducted by email, phone, virtual, and in-person meetings.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for introducing our exciting new curriculum software products to some existing customers as well as working with new districts. Participate in the full sales cycle from lead generation, sales campaigns, marketing, and client support. Responsible for customer site visits, quoting, and follow ups
Education, experience
· Degree in business, education, marketing, or a related field
· At least three years' experience in education or sales for a fast-paced, technology-driven business
· Experience working with educators and/or curriculum coordinators
· Outstanding interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team environment with individual goals and objectives
· Ability to present in front of both individuals and large groups with the confidence and knowledge of both hardware and software as presentation tools in K-12
· Proven aptitude for developing relationships with key decision makers
· Strong ability to analyze and solve problems
· Must be extremely organized
· Ability to self-motivate
· Good time-management, record-keeping, and planning skills
· Preferably, experience with SMART products and other a/v technologies
· Must be flexible and can work in a fast pace environment
Duties
· Ability to prospect, develop a pipeline, and move opportunities through sales cycle
· Experience proposing, presenting, and discussing solutions with executive level decision-makers.
· Maintains regular contact with account base, and increases revenue from positioning and demonstrating new and existing products, preparing appropriate RFPs, and closing the sale
· Generates, develops, manages, and communicates expectations within assigned accounts as well as increases scope of penetration within each account
· Responsible for supporting clients daily
· Build and manage qualifying sales opportunities.
· Provides timely response to product inquiries and qualifies leads
· Manage/develop relationships with each software vendor, attend trainings, and help supply other sales staff in understanding this portfolio and its benefits.
· Ability to take on training/onboarding of these solutions in 6-12 months
