Service Writer / Service Manager

Roadhouse Camper & RV is looking for a self-motivated, well organized individual to join our team. Service writer / manager’s duties include but not limited to the following:

• Get new and potential customers to schedule provided services
• Schedule work to be done for in-house repairs as well as on-site services
• Prepare detailed work orders from customer’s requests
• Guide and direct technicians and service department in order to reach its fullest potential
• Up sell recommended and additional maintenance and services
• Sell and manage extended warranties
• Provide accurate estimates of repairs for retail customers, insurance and warranty companies
• Stay in constant contact with customers before, during and after service
• Review and explain repairs and associated costs with customers
• Monitor and track technician productivity and profitability of service department
• Ensure quality control and customer satisfaction
• Create work orders for warranty work
• Schedule all warranty work for internal dealership as well as retail customers
• Explain warranty policies and procedures to customers
• Submit manufacturer and aftermarket warranty claims
• Coordinate with technicians and parts manager to assure proper procedures are being followed
• File new and check on existing claims continually to assure prompt payment
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Contribute to the positive reputation and profitability of the dealership
• Hiring and firing of service department personnel
• Provide productivity and personnel reports to owner

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
