The main purpose of this position is to serve and support TEC's business customers through the selling of additional products and services, facilitating contract renewals and identifying new business opportunities within the designated market area. This role may also involve travel outside of the market area to pursue expanded sales. This job requires familiarity with telecommunications industry, business class internet service, and managed IT (Information Technology) products. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Requires excellent written and verbal skills.

Education/Experience - A minimum of two (2) years managing a client base in telecommunications or a proven track record of selling fiber or VoIP-related products in a new market is required. Must have demonstrated a successful track record of both new sales and contract renewal/upsell within a given territory, vertical, or other client base.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - A high school diploma is required, but an Associate’s degree is preferred. One or more years of computer experience required. Experience in Microsoft Office applications is beneficial. Good organization and communication skills, including maintaining and meeting various deadlines is essential.
Mental - Requires a normal degree of concentration and attention to specific details.
Physical - Requires walking/standing approximately 25%, sitting approximately 75% of time and lifting computer paper, and files weighing up to 20 lbs. approximately 2% of time; involves repetitive stooping, forward bending and crouching to retrieve office supplies approximately 2% of time; involves on-the-job travel approximately 50% of time, which requires a valid driver’s license, as well as adequate insurance coverage.
Environmental - Requires capability of performing essential job functions in established office environment under normal lighting and climate control tolerances.
Manual Dexterity - Requires use of hands and arms to use a personal computer, calculator, other general office equipment, and equipment related to telephone features.
Audible - Requires ability to communicate including personal conversations and telephone conversations.
Visual - Requires ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, accounting records, computer screens, proposals, contracts, service orders, reports etc. and to operate office equipment.
Color Perception - Color perception is probably helpful in this position, but would not necessarily be required.
