Accountant II

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a skilled Accountant II to join our team. This role involves analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports within the organization. You will be tasked with maintaining financial records, computing taxes, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.Responsibilities:• Analyze financial information and prepare detailed reports on the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss.• Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare actual costs to budgeted costs.• Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements.• Develop, implement, modify, and document record-keeping and accounting systems.• Use computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as other related accounting software for various accounting tasks.• Use strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate financial information to clients and team members.• Apply accounting and mathematical principles to work tasks as needed.• Analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to accounting.• Use critical thinking skills to resolve complex financial issues and improve the organization's financial performance.
