What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Robert Half?
We have partnered with a financial, services client on their search for a proactive Accountant with public accounting expertise. As the Accountant you will be responsible for the following: processing month end close activities, assisting with tax services, maintaining revenue recognition standards, overseeing the general ledger system, assisting with tax compliance, preparing multi-state income tax returns, and assisting the finance team when needed. The ideal candidate for this role should have great problem-solving skills, a flair for numbers, excellent time-management and strong budgeting/forecasting abilities that will ensure revenue generation.
Everyday Responsibilities
· Support daily accounting functions
· Perform tax research
· Account Analysis
· Prepare monthly financial statements
· Multi-State tax preparation
· Respond to tax notices
· Accounts Payable/Receivable
· Build strong client relationships
· Develop and implement process improvement initiatives
· Resolve accounting discrepancies
· Ad hoc financial analysis projects as requested
