We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team located in Wilmington, Delaware. The focus of this role is to maintain accurate financial records, process customer credit applications, and handle correspondence with vendors. This position is within the accounting industry and offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner
- Maintain and update customer credit records regularly
- Handle correspondence with vendors predominantly through email and occasionally through phone
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as needed
- Set up basic vendor accounts in the system
- Utilize accounting software like QuickBooks and Oracle for data entry and invoice processing
- Use Microsoft Excel for account reconciliation and billing processes
- Ensure high volume tasks are completed efficiently
- Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) duties
- Maintain an organized and efficient workspace.
- Possession of at least 1 year of experience in an Accounting Clerk role or a similar position
- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Demonstrable experience in Billing and Data Entry
- Experience in Invoice Processing
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Oracle and QuickBooks software
- Familiarity with SAP software
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred but not required
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
- Good problem-solving and time management skills
- High level of integrity and dependability
