We are searching for a meticulous and experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team in GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan, in the Manufacturing industry. This role involves processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll data entry, answering phones, and handling other clerical tasks.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications
- Maintain and update customer credit records regularly
- Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments
- Conduct account reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate financial records
- Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) duties
- Perform data entry tasks and process invoices
- Use PLEX accounting software
- Answer phones and perform other clerical duties as required
- Adapt quickly to the use of an accounting ERP system.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role within the manufacturing industry
- Proficiency in account reconciliation and data entry
- Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) management
- Experience in billing and invoice processing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
- Experience with Oracle for database management and data entry
- Experience with QuickBooks for financial management and accounting
- Familiarity with SAP for business process management
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
