Are you looking for employment as an Accounting Clerk with a non profit organization? Support a department within a company in the Non-Profit industry as an Accounting Clerk through this employment opportunity offered at Robert Half. The Accounting Clerk will match invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assist with Accounts Payable (A/P) , Accounts Receivable (A/R), and complete Credit Card reconcilliations, . This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire employment opportunity based in the Asheville, North Carolina area.Key responsibilities- Publish financial information to journals and ledgers- Classify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes- Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a number of sources- Support Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit- Support Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing- Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects- Remedy discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
