This role will require the candidate to attend to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department and work closely with the Accounting Manager. The main responsibilities will include matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire opening.Key responsibilities- Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them- Provide support to internal business partners- Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department- Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail- Provide internal and external audit assistance as required- Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed- Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling- Conduct full-cycle A/P- Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
