Job Title: Accounts Payable SpecialistOverview:As an Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the financial operations of the organization by managing the accounts payable process. This includes processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers and service providers. The AP Specialist will collaborate with various departments to verify and obtain necessary approvals for payments while adhering to company policies and procedures.Responsibilities:Invoice Processing:Receive, review, and process invoices in an accurate and timely manner.Verify that invoices are properly coded, approved, and matched with purchase orders or receipts.Investigate and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments.Payment Processing:Prepare and process payments, such as checks, electronic transfers, and ACH transactions.Ensure adherence to payment terms and take advantage of any available discounts.Maintain accurate and up-to-date payment records.Vendor Relations:Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies.Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors to ensure smooth transactions.Address and resolve any vendor-related issues promptly.
