Robert Half is supporting a client who needs a Software Developer. You'll be right for this position if you can handle being responsible for implementing new features, maintaining existing code, and refactoring existing code across a breadth of products used both internally and externally at the company. This long-term contract / temporary to hire employment opportunity is based in the Davenport/Muscatine, Iowa area.
Key responsibilities
- We need a candidate who can maintain and develop new features to internal and external facing software to enhance the customer experience and resolve issues on various operating systems
- Deliver clear and consistent report around solutions and time estimate to client-facing program management teams
- Fix and offer production support
- Continually conduct code-review and unite with other developers
- Cooperate with Scrum team to supply precise work estimates
Requirements
- Less than one year of experience
- Candidates who can write clean, standardized code that performs optimally in highly concurrent environments will be the best fit for this position
- Practical knowledge of ASP.NET
- Well-founded grasp of HTML
- Proven knowledge of PowerBuilder
- Earlier work involving application development
- Proficiency in Creative Problem Solving
- Solid understanding of GUI Testing
- General familiarity with CSS
- Quality experience with C#
- Wide ranging experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with Communication Skills
- SQL Queries experience preferred
- Basic Troubleshooting experience preferred
- Candidates with experience with software development life cycles, e.g. Agile, Big Bang, Spiral, Waterfall, etc., will be the best fit for this position
- You might be a good fit for this position if you have familiarity with full-stack development (front-end, to middle/application tier, to database)
- You might be a good fit for this position if you are familiar with Scrum
- Experience with at least one framework/library, e.g. Vue.js, Polymer, Angular.js, React.js, Ractive.js, Knockout.js, Ember.js, Bootstrap, etc.
- Knowledge of education standard such as QTI/APIP, SIF, AIF is a plus
- Experience crafting, documenting and testing APIs
