Responsibilities:
- Billing Operations:
- Generate accurate and timely invoices for SaaS customers based on subscription agreements and usage data.
- Conduct thorough reviews of customer contracts, pricing models, and discount structures to ensure accurate billing calculations.
- Manage the billing cycle, including billing schedules, payment terms, and revenue recognition.
- Monitor and resolve billing discrepancies, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Customer Success, and Finance.
- Customer Account Management:
- Maintain customer accounts in the billing system, including customer information, billing preferences, and contact details.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries related to invoices, billing adjustments, and payment-related issues.
- Work closely with customers to resolve billing disputes, providing exceptional customer service while adhering to company policies.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to address billing inquiries during the sales process, providing insights on pricing and contract terms.
- Revenue Optimization and Reporting:
- Analyze billing data, identify trends, and report on key metrics to optimize revenue streams and improve billing processes.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure billing accuracy and compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance billing efficiency and reduce errors.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to support month-end close activities and provide accurate revenue forecasts.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the Sales team to streamline order-to-cash processes and resolve customer billing issues.
- Work closely with the Finance team to reconcile billing data, investigate discrepancies, and support financial reporting requirements.
- Liaise with the Customer Success team to proactively address billing-related concerns and provide insights on customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Billing Analyst, Billing Specialist, or similar role, preferably in a SaaS or technology company.
- Proficiency in billing systems and software (e.g., Salesforce, Zuora, NetSuite) with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in working with numbers.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external customers.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, revenue recognition, and subscription billing models is preferred.
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
