This is a leadership role with responsibility over an accounting and clerical department. As the Controller, you will plan and direct all accounting operational functions, manage the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assess accounting and internal control systems, and guide departmental staff. The Controller will be a permanent employment opportunity and will be located in the Algodones, New Mexico region.Responsibilities- Respond on items beyond formal job responsibilities- Reviews deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations- Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective- Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required- Support punctual cash collection by managing the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques- Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash- Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis- Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll- Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports- Evaluate, apply and refine policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies- Manage the creation of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them on a monthly basis****** Great pay and robust benefits including 7% contribution to 401K, Hybrid with 2 days remote.
