Accounting Clerk candidates will be interested in this position at a reputable business, where they will handle matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). The Accounting Clerk position is a permanent opportunity and is situated in the Oilville, Virginia, area. You'll get terrific benefits, a wonderful work space/office, and a dynamic team culture working with this company.How you will make an impact- Code documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes- Perform general accounting tasks, such as G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects- Resolve discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; generate correction documents as required- Utilize a number of sources to create statements and reports- Assist accounts payable with vendor invoices and disbursement filing and with A/P invoice matching & filing- Support Accounts Receivable by processing daily invoices/credit, applying cash receipts, and helping with collection of past due balances- Use various methods to add financial information to journals and ledgers- Complete other related duties and assist with special projects as needed
