We are looking for a Data Entry Clerk to join our Healthcare Department. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and maintaining our health databases. The position requires precision, attention to detail, and excellent organisational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Inputting and maintaining accurate patient data and health records into our company's health information systems.
- Ensuring that all data has been entered correctly and verifying/expunging any inaccuracies.
- Processing patient billing and insurance-related claims.
- Timely updating patient information such as diagnoses, insurance details, contact information, etc.
- Understanding and adhering to strict medical and general data privacy regulations.
- Liaise with healthcare department staff to ensure accurate documentation.
- Manage and organize medical forms and documents.
- Ensure data backups are regularly done to prevent data loss.
- Track patient data over time for report generation and data analysis.
- Respond promptly and professionally to department inquiries for medical records and information.
- High School diploma/ GED required. Further education in data management or health information technology is advantageous.
- Experience in data entry role, preferably within a healthcare department.
- Knowledge of medical terminologies, procedures, and billing procedures is crucial.
- Strong computer skills, including speedy and accurate data entry, proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- High level of attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to comply with confidentiality and data privacy standards at all times.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
