Opportunity for a Director of Operations for a large firm located in the south suburbs of Chicago. Provides leadership support and full operational oversight for the facility’s operations. Recruiter: Connie StathopoulosESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Directly supervises the location’s operations management group and indirectly is responsible for all operations personnel for the site. • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees;• Establishes and participates in a continuous improvement process that focuses on meeting internal and external customer requirements. • Sets staffing and assures adjustments are made on a daily or hourly basis to create a smooth work flow • Establishes and measures quality standards and ensures feedback mechanisms are established and used. • Ensures training/retraining occurs and that positive reinforcement and the progressive communications process are utilized appropriately to maximize individual and group performance. • Determines and meets customer requirements by meeting shipment, ensuring inventory and data accuracy; and ensuring product shipped leaves and arrives in a condition that meets the customers’ requirements. • Recruits and develops employees that have the required qualifications and competence. • Determines when operating conditions require revisions to the basic organizational structure and reviews recommendations with the management. • Works with Human Resources to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, governmental laws and regulations.

Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
