We are offering a role for a Data Operator in the Wholesale Distribution industry, located in South Bend, Indiana, 46628, United States. This role focuses on managing and improving our processes for customer credit applications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. The successful candidate will have a significant impact in maintaining the company's credit records, resolving customer inquiries, and ensuring timely payments.
Responsibilities:
Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency.
Maintain and manage customer credit records.
Resolve customer credit inquiries and disputes in a timely manner.
Monitor customer credit accounts for any inconsistencies or delinquencies.
Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.
Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
Detect and correct errors by using verifying procedures and make changes as instructed.
Transcribe data from source material into a computer-compatible format.
Proofread and edit own work and exercise judgment in determining letter and report formats.
Maintain records of data input.
Provide key support for functional groups, including performance of a wide variety of specialized clerical functions.
Gather, compile and verify information and accurately enter it into documents such as reports, presentations, or forms, and office systems such as databases or spreadsheets.
Participate in associate meetings and communicate any concerns to management.
Requirements
Must possess strong skills in customer service and communication
Proficient in data entry and office functions
Capable of producing accurate documentation and understanding of procedures and policies
Understanding of compliance requirements in a wholesale distribution setting
Experience in materials handling and product review processes
Proficient in using database systems and creating presentations
Ability to provide workstation support as needed
Familiarity with hiring processes and claim administration
Understanding of industry regulations
Proficiency in using spreadsheets, filing systems, and coding
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail
Understanding of statistics and ability to prepare reports accordingly
Experience in data warehousing and maintaining records
Ability to maintain professional conduct and uphold company policies at all times.
