We are seeking a Help Desk Manager to join our team in the Apparel Manufacturing industry, based in Irving, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the continuous improvement of our Service Desk, which includes infrastructure, phone, and desktop support. Your focus will be on delivering outstanding service to the company and maintaining an environment of service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Service Desk, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
- Implement strategies for the continuous improvement of the Service Desk, focusing on infrastructure, phone, and desktop support.
- Build and maintain an environment of service excellence with a focus on customer advocacy and satisfaction.
- Develop and implement procedures to reduce incidents through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), requests, and identified problems.
- Monitor, mentor, coach, and assist team members to deliver quality support.
- Troubleshoot network, storage, server, cabling, Mac OS and Windows systems, as well as application elements of a system.
- Document system changes through change management, team processes, and procedures, and system diagrams.
- Establish performance metrics, measurements, and reporting of established metrics.
- Analyze, evaluate, and prepare recommendations for system improvements, optimizations, and development.
- Provide hardware and software technical assistance for support requests related to company computer systems and peripherals.
- Respond to requests via email, in person, or over the phone using remote assistance tools.
- Maintain inventory of company computer equipment and peripherals and supplies.
- Must have a solid understanding of Citrix Technologies
- Database management skills are necessary
- Knowledge of EO/IR systems is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is essential
- Networking skills are important
- Familiarity with Active Directory is a must
- Competence in Computer Hardware is needed
- Configuration Management skills are required
- Experience in Deployments is necessary
- Deskside Support skills are essential
- Knowledge of VMware and VMware Infrastructure is a must
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage a team effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must have proven experience in a similar role within the Apparel Manufacturing industry
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks at once
- Must have a proactive approach to work and the ability to anticipate potential issues before they arise
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred
- Relevant certifications are a plus.
